Due to continued growth, a well-established organisation has a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic with a strong focus on trucks and trailers.
This role is workshop-based and offers stable, long-term work in a professional environment with strong systems, and a supportive team. You’ll play a key role in keeping a fleet of heavy vehicles operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key duties
- Diagnose, service, and repair trucks and trailers
- Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventive maintenance
- Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and industry standards
- Complete job cards, service reports, and related documentation
- Work collaboratively with other technicians to minimise downtime
- Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Strong background working on trucks and trailers
- Confident in diagnostics and problem-solving
- Safety-focused with a strong attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- $42 - $46 per hour
- Time and a half paid after 45 hours
