This role offers a mix of workshop and field-based work, providing exposure to a wide range of trucks, heavy machinery, and mobile plant. From routine servicing to complex diagnostics and repairs, you'll play a key role in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery, light vehicles, and small plant.
- Split time between workshop-based repairs and onsite field maintenance activities.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and transmission faults and implement effective solutions.
- Complete preventative maintenance to maximise fleet reliability and minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of completed work.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to keep equipment operating efficiently
- Salary range of approximately $90,000-$120,000, depending on experience
- Stable full-time work with consistent hours

- Qualified heavy diesel mechanic
- 3 years of experience preferred working on Heavy machinery, plant, civil or relevant industry related equipment
- Holds a Class 1 & 2 license Aswell as WTR preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet when working in the field
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers
- Good time management and administration skills, including accurate recording of completed work
- The ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a small, close-knit team
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety
