- Degree in Mining Engineering OR related subject (Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy etc.)
- Familiarity with underground mining legislation and standards, including Coal Mining Safety and Health Act & regulations.
- An understanding of Mine planning principles and exposure to industry-standard mining software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical, site-based solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Keen to learn and get stuck in and build a career in the underground coal sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support mine planning activities and assist with production scheduling.
- Assist in preparing mine plans, reports and technical documentation.
- Work alongside experienced engineers on ventilation, geotechnical and operational projects.
- Collaborate with site teams to support safe and efficient underground mining operations.
- Develop your technical skills through hands-on experience and mentoring.
