What you’ll be doing
- Chassis repairs, strengthening, extensions and modifications
- Trailer repairs, rebuilds and fabrication
- MIG / Stick / FCAW welding
- General fitting, fabrication and workshop engineering on transport equipment
- Heavy diesel mechanic experience — servicing, repairs, diagnostics on trucks or trailers
- Ability to switch between fabrication and mechanical work when needed
- Strong understanding of how heavy transport equipment works end‑to‑end
- Proven experience as a Fitter Welder in heavy transport
- Someone reliable who turns up, works safe and gets the job done
- Able to work independently and produce tidy, strong, accurate work
