The Role
My client is seeking an Drainage Supervisor or experienced Drainage Foreman ready to step up, to lead their site crews delivering civil infrastructure projects across wastewater and stormwater in the Wellington Region.

The ideal candidate will be willing to be hands on, in the trenches when required, whilst managing their crews and ongoing workload. This key leadership role will see you successfully delivering a variety of drainage works, being responsible for supervising construction activities on site and ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead drainage crews and coordinate daily site activities
  • Deliver wastewater, stormwater, and water pipeline installations
  • Supervise deep excavations, trench support systems, and temporary works
  • Oversee construction of manholes, chambers, and pump station infrastructure
  • Manage plant, materials, and subcontractors to meet programme and cost targets
  • Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and council requirements
  • Maintain a high quality of health, & safety, complete QA documentation and site records
  • Mentor junior crew members and support ongoing team development
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5 - 7 years of experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in Civil Drainage with relevant qualifications and tickets
  • Proven experience leading crews, capability in deep drainage, large scale pipeline installations, and complex service environments
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Confident, practical leader with strong communication skills
  • Proactive approach with the ability to drive productivity on site
  • Full NZ Driver’s Licence, with Class 2 and WTR endorsements
