Large-scale projects rarely run exactly to plan, creating complex legal issues that require practical, commercially focused advice. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of high-value disputes across the construction, development, infrastructure & broader commercial sectors. You'll work closely with clients, contribute to litigation strategy & play a visible role in resolving challenging matters.
Key Work
- Advise on construction, engineering & project disputes
- Represent clients through mediation, adjudication & litigation processes
- Draft pleadings, submissions & dispute-related documentation
- Assess contractual risk & provide strategic dispute avoidance advice
- Manage complex commercial & project-based litigation matters
- Develop trusted relationships with clients & industry stakeholders
- Exposure to sophisticated, high-value disputes
- Direct access to experienced senior lawyers

- NZ admitted lawyer with approximately 3-8 years PQE
- Experience in litigation, construction law or dispute resolution
- Strong drafting, analytical & advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters with increasing autonomy
- Commercially minded approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication & relationship management skills
