The client is a well-established, growing business where finance sits at the centre of decision-making. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll act as the go-to person across all things finance; providing insight, challenge, and support to drive the business forward.
This is more than a traditional accounting role. It’s a hands-on, commercially focused position where you’ll have real influence across the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing monthly management accounts, reporting, and financial performance
- Providing insight on risks, opportunities, and business performance
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
- Acting as a key commercial partner to the CEO and wider team
- Supporting tenders, pricing, and contract reviews when required
- Taking ownership of financial processes, systems, and improvements
- Leading and supporting a small admin/operations function
- Strong all-round finance capability (management accounting / commercial finance)
- CA preferred but not essential
- Able to interpret financials and explain them clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Confident to challenge and push back when needed
- Detail-oriented, with a strong commercial mindset
- Self-sufficient and comfortable working in a small team environment
- Part-time (approx. 25 hours) with flexibility on how this is structured
