Palmerston North Airport is entering an exciting period of growth and development, creating an opportunity for an experienced Commercial & Asset Manager to join the team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, with a secondary reporting line to the Chief Financial Officer, this newly created position will take ownership of commercial contracts, tenant relationships, supplier management and asset planning across the airport's operations.
This is a varied and hands-on role combining property management, commercial management and asset lifecycle planning. You'll play a key role in supporting the airport's development projects, improving systems and processes, and ensuring assets and commercial relationships are effectively managed.

What you'll be doing
- Manage airport tenants, leases, licences and commercial agreements
- Oversee supplier and service provider relationships and performance
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of asset and contract management systems
- Support asset lifecycle planning, renewals forecasting and maintenance prioritisation
- Monitor commercial contracts, KPIs and service levels
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership and Board consideration
- Support airport development projects and future commercial initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Experience in property, asset and/or commercial management
- Strong contract management and negotiation skills
- Commercial, financial and risk management capability
- Experience managing supplier, contractor or tenant relationships
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
