About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Folding Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing team producing high-quality roof flashings from sheet metal. This is a hands-on position where you'll take pride in your workmanship and play an important role in delivering products to customers. This role is based in Christchurch and will be working on the afternoon shift which is Monday to Friday 1:15PM – 9:45PM. Please note we are also looking for an Assistant Machine Operator for the same shift which is an opportunity to grow your skillset.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating a CNC folding machine to manufacture roof flashings
- Reading and working from production requirements and specifications
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
- Prioritising tasks to meet production deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and reporting hazards or incidents
- Performing quality checks on products
Due to the nature of the role, to be successful in this role you will need:
- Previous experience operating a CNC machine (ideally a Folding Machine and experience manufacturing flashings or other roofing materials)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good computer skills and confidence using production software
- Ideally you will have a forklift license, however this is not essential
- Rainwater product knowledge would be advantageous
- To be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- A great attitude and willingness to learn
- To possess excellent and clear communication skills
- To be enthusiastic and reliable
