We are seeking an experienced Registered or Certified Drainlayer to take on a senior, hands-on leadership role within our Client. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is confident running drainage operations on site from start to finish.
Please note: You will need to be a NZ Resident or Citizen.
About the Role: You will be responsible for leading drainage works on a 6-9 month civil construction project, managing people, quality, and coordination with key stakeholders. This is a working supervisor role that requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a full drainage crew, including labourers and plant operators
- Read and accurately interpret drainage and civil drawings
- Liaise directly with engineers and site management
- Install PE and concrete pipe to a high standard
- Set up, use, and work confidently with lasers
- Take full ownership of drainage works on site, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Registered or Certified Drainlayer
- Proven experience leading drainage crews on civil projects
- Strong understanding of drainage systems and site processes
- Confident communicator with the ability to work closely with engineers
