We are seeking skilled and experienced Coded Boilermaker Welders from international locations to join our maintenance teams working across fixed plant mining environments. In this role, you will carry out structural repairs, fabrication, and high‑quality coded welding on critical fixed plant assets. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong technical ability, a commitment to safety, and the capability to work in demanding industrial conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs, fabrication, and coded welding on fixed plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, chutes, screens, hoppers, wear liners, and structural steel.
- Carry out preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant infrastructure.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld maps, and technical specifications.
- Execute high‑quality welding across multiple processes (MMAW/SMAW, FCAW, MIG, TIG depending on coding).
- Conduct cutting, gouging, grinding, and metal preparation to support repair and fabrication tasks.
- Install, align, and replace fixed plant components and structural assemblies
- Perform weld testing, quality checks, and ensure compliance with welding procedures and standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and welding records.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical fitters, maintenance planners, and site supervisors to support plant reliability.
- Follow all site safety procedures, including isolation, hot‑work permits, confined‑space protocols, and hazard identificatio
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker , Fabricator , or equivalent (internationally recognised).
- Current or recent coded welding certifications (AS/NZS, ISO, AWS, or equivalent).
- 3–5 years’ experience in fixed plant or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong welding skills across structural steel and heavy plate.
- Ability to work safely in high‑risk environments involving heights, hot work, and confined spaces.
- Experience in mining, quarrying, or large‑scale industrial maintenance is highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.
