About the Role:
  
Working alongside the Branch Manager, this on-site Assistant Branch Manager position plays a key role in the day-to-day success of the branch. You'll help lead and support the team, drive sales performance, maintain high customer service standards, and contribute to a positive and accountable workplace culture. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step into leadership while remaining actively involved with customers, sales activities, and branch operations.
   
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Branch Manager with the day-to-day running of the branch
  • Lead and motivate the team when the Branch Manager is absent
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members to achieve their potential
  • Drive exceptional customer service and strengthen customer relationships
  • Assist with achieving branch budgets, sales targets, and business objectives
  • Support pricing discipline, margin performance, and commercial outcomes
  • Oversee branch operations, stock management, and workflow improvements
  • Promote accountability, ownership, and a positive team culture through leading by example
   
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, trade, wholesale, or a similar customer-focused environment
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is highly regarded
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of sales performance and customer service
  • Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Self-motivated with a genuine desire to progress into branch leadership
  • Must be a permanent resident or citizen of NZ
