Join a high-performing finance team as an Assistant Accountant. Reporting to senior leadership, you will support the day-to-day financial operations while developing your technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Monday - Friday Standard Business Hours with flexible start times.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Performing bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Assisting in financial reporting and analysis
- Maintaining accurate and compliant financial records
- Ensuring adherence to internal controls and NZ regulatory standards
- Preparing and posting journals, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Act as back up for Payroll when required

About You
- Degree in Accounting (or related discipline)
- 3+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Experience supporting finance functions across multiple entities or business units (desirable)
- Experience using accounting systems (e.g. Xero, MYOB)
- Intermediate Excel skills and attention to detail
- Fixed asset register experience (Desirable)
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
