About the Role Based in Townsville, you'll oversee asphalt and road rehabilitation projects throughout North Queensland. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors and crews, you'll be responsible for delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being on site, leading teams and driving successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise asphalt crews and subcontractors
- Coordinate daily, weekly and upcoming works programs
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders
- Coordinate labour, plant, traffic control, testing and project resources
- Monitor productivity and ensure project milestones are achieved
- Promote and maintain strong safety standards across all works
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and support SWMS development
- Report and manage workplace hazards, incidents and corrective actions
- Ensure quality requirements and specifications are consistently met
- Previous experience supervising asphalt, pavement, road maintenance or civil construction crews
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proven commitment to safety and quality outcomes
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work programs
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
- Computer literacy and ability to interpret project specifications
- Current Driver's Licence
- Flexibility to work night shift, weekends and travel throughout North Queensland when require
