PURPOSE
The purpose of the Account Manager role in Tauranga is to manage and nurture relationships with our clients
in the building supplies industry. This individual will play a crucial part in ensuring our clients' needs are met by
offering high-quality products and services. The Account Manager will focus on developing strong, long-term
relationships with key accounts, driving sales growth, and providing exceptional customer service. By
understanding client requirements and collaborating with internal teams, this role ensures the delivery of effective
and timely solutions that support customer success and company goals
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management:
ï‚· Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, contractors, builders, and other clients.
ï‚· Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
Product Guidance and Consultation:
ï‚· Offer expert advice on the selection of building materials, ensuring clients choose products that best suit their project specifications.
ï‚· Leverage knowledge of the industry and product offerings to suggest suitable solutions and provide valuable insights on materials, quality, and application.
Order Management and Coordination:
ï‚· Oversee the entire order process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness from quotation to product delivery.
ï‚· Coordinate with internal teams such as logistics and warehouse to ensure efficient order fulfilment and on-time delivery of products.
Customer Support and Issue Resolution:
ï‚· Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring resolutions that maintain customer satisfaction.
ï‚· Actively work to resolve any product-related or service-related challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the client's operations.
New Business Development:
ï‚· Identify potential new clients and sales opportunities within the building supply sector, contributing to the growth of the company's customer base.
ï‚· Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and product information to prospective clients, while negotiating terms and pricing.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
ï‚· Collaborate with colleagues in sales, procurement, logistics, and finance departments to ensure the efficient processing of client orders and the timely delivery of products.
ï‚· Work closely with the internal team to ensure a seamless service experience for clients, from initial inquiry to product delivery.
Market and Competitor Insights:
ï‚· Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging products in the building supply sector, providing the team with relevant insights for strategy and decision-making.
ï‚· Relay valuable feedback from clients regarding product preferences, service quality, and market demands to aid in product development and service improvements.
Organisational and Administrative Duties:
ï‚· Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and order statuses through the company's CRM system, ensuring data integrity.
ï‚· Manage client portfolios, ensuring that all tasks, deadlines, and client expectations are consistently met in a timely and organised manner.
Health & Safety - Drug and Alcohol:
ï‚· Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Drugs & Alcohol.
ï‚· Ensure familiarisation with security, emergency and evacuation procedures .
ï‚· Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of your manager.
ï‚· Ensures all activities meet the minimum requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and are in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policies.
ï‚· Ensures that he/she is aware and committed to his/her safety, clients and the safety of the general public.

ï‚· Willing to undertake any training that is required to meet the requirements and scope of the position
