About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Water Service Technician (Leading Hand) to join a well-established team in Tauranga in a permanent position. This role involves a mix of hands-on water reticulation, site leadership, and client interaction across key civil infrastructure projects.

- Carry out rebound pressure testing and live taps on existing watermains
- Install and renew drinking water infrastructure
- Read and interpret plans confidently
- Complete daily job sheets and H&S procedures
- Work directly with clients on-site
- Water reticulation installation
- Operate excavators and support drainage or civil tasks as needed
Skills & Experience
- L4 Water Reticulation Qualification
- Previous experience as a foreman or in a leadership capacity
- HDPE welding certification
- Competent excavator operator
- Clean NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred but not necessary)
- Knowledge of Tauranga City Council and Western Bay of Plenty IDC’s a bonus
- NZQA qualification
- Site Safe
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must have valid working rights in NZ
