Warehouse Team Leader – Afternoon Shift

- Monday to Friday shifts available with some weekend work
- Supportive management team
We are currently looking for a Supervisor to join our afternoon shift based in our loading area. The site is based in Islington. You will be looking after the afternoon shift team which involves having a team of around 6-7 direct reports to you. Please note this is still a hands-on role so you will be expected to operate the forklift and load trucks as well as completing other general warehousing duties. You will be a senior member of the team and will be the go-to for the team on site. This role will be working on the following shift:
- Monday to Friday 01:00PM – 09:30PM (potentially later) – with alternating Sundays on a shift pattern of 06:00AM – 05:00PM
- Allocating resources across the team
- Working in the loading area which is usually around 4 degrees
- Lead and guide the team
- Operating the Forklift to load racked linehaul units and trucks
- Operating multiple forklifts to move stock around the warehouse
- Picking and packing orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Stacking boxes ready for distribution
- You must have some people leadership experience and be able to effectively manage a team
- You must have a valid Forklift license
- At least 1 year experience operating a forklift truck doing linehaul
- Ability to organise workflow for the warehousing team and follow up on any outstanding issues or queries
- You must be computer literate as you will be preparing documentation
- Good communication and able to work in a multicultural team environment
- Thorough with good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Interested in learning new things
- Physically able (as there will be some lifting required)
- Keen attitude to learn and get involved
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
