Our client operates a high‑volume food and beverage distribution business supplying retail, wholesale, and resort customers throughout Vanuatu. The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, cold‑chain management, order fulfilment, dispatch, and delivery coordination.
This role carries responsibility for maintaining product integrity across frozen, chilled, and dry goods, ensuring strong inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and team capability. The successful candidate will provide hands‑on leadership to supervisors, delivery teams, and warehouse staff, fostering a safe, organised, and performance‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and delivery
- Maintain compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards
- Lead and develop warehouse teams, including supervisors and operational staff
- Ensure inventory accuracy, stock rotation, and regular cycle counts
- Manage cold‑storage operations and ensure correct temperature control
- Coordinate inbound shipments, customs clearance, and container movements
- Monitor operational performance metrics, including DIFOT and stock accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement across warehouse systems, processes, and layout
- 5+ years’ experience in warehouse or logistics management
- Strong leadership capability and experience managing operational teams
- Background in food distribution, FMCG, or cold‑chain environments (advantageous)
- Proficiency with inventory systems and strong Excel skills
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Hands‑on, solutions‑focused, and effective under pressure
- Ability to relocate and work in an international environment
