Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
The Eva Copper Mine is a significant and strategically important project for Harmony marking a major milestone in the company's copper growth strategy and its long-term commitment to Northwest Queensland. The mine will have a minimum life of 15 years and will involve mining multiple open cut pits providing copper bearing ore to a concentrator. Front-end engineering design is complete, and mine construction is expected to take up to 30 months with first production targeted for the second half of the 2028 calendar year.
About the role:
Reporting to the Site Services Superintendent we're seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Travel Administrator to manage travel and accommodation logistics for our FIFO/BIBO workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and book travel for FIFO/BIBO personnel, including flights and buses.
- Collaborate with village operators to manage accommodation aligned with rosters.
- Lead the implementation and training of a workforce mobility system.
- Develop onboarding and travel procedures ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and transport providers.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on travel and accommodation usage
Please note this is a maximum term role aligned with the project completion and close out, anticipated to be 31 May 2028. However, there is a possibility the role could become a permanent position once the mine is fully operational.
Experience Required:
- Experience in travel coordination or logistics, ideally in mining or construction.
- Familiarity with FIFO/BIBO operations and mobility systems.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and travel booking platforms.
