We are seeking a Training Coordinator to join the Health, Safety and Training (HST) team at Boggabri Coal Mine on a permanent basis. Boggabri is an open-cut coal operation producing up to 8.6 million tonnes per annum, with mine life extending through to 2036. Located near Boggabri, Gunnedah and Narrabri, the operation offers the opportunity to build a strong professional profile while enjoying the benefits of a regional lifestyle.
Reporting to the HST Manager, the Training Coordinator supports safe and effective site operations by coordinating training and competency activities across the mine. The role ensures training systems, records and delivery meet legislative, regulatory and site requirements, and that all employees and contractors are appropriately trained and competent for their roles.
This role is central to the ongoing administration and improvement of the site Training and Competence Management Scheme (TCMS). You will work closely with the HST Manager, HST Superintendent, supervisors, trainers and contractors to coordinate training delivery, site inductions and competency programs across the operation.

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) – essential.
- Experience working in mining (preferably NSW coal) or a heavy industrial environment.
- Experience operating mobile plant and equipment in an open-cut coal mine
- Strong knowledge of training compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of site-based Health, Safety and Training systems and reporting
- High level of computer literacy with experience using training and workforce management systems.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate training records and reporting.
- Ability to safely access and work within an operational mine site environment.
- Trade qualification – desirable.
