This 3-month contract role, with potential for extension, offers the opportunity to step into a well-established internal talent team within the mining industry, supporting ongoing maintenance recruitment activities.
You will work closely with experienced recruiters and key internal stakeholders, gaining exposure to high-volume, business-critical maintenance roles across site operations.
This position will see you supporting the recruitment of maintenance positions contributing to workforce continuity across operational and project sites.
Duties:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to identify and attract qualified maintenance candidates.
- Support volume recruitment campaigns aligned to maintenance schedules and operational demands.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct sourcing.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for allocated roles.
- Provide recruitment updates and reporting to internal stakeholders and hiring managers.
- Conduct interviews and assess candidate suitability against role requirements and company values.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and create accurate job advertisements.
The successful candidate will have prior recruitment experience, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, operational environment. To be considered, you will have:
- Proven experience as a recruiter, ideally within mining, maintenance, oil & gas, or heavy industry environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting volume or project-based recruitment campaigns.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management capability.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach.
- Solid understanding of recruitment techniques and best practice.
