About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Supply Superintendent to lead the supply, procurement and contracts function on site. This role is responsible for driving best-practice supply chain outcomes, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements, and partnering with operational leaders to deliver commercial value across the business.
You will play a key leadership role across procurement, contract management, and stores, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services while maintaining strong governance and risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the site-based supply, procurement and contracts function
- Oversee purchasing, inventory, and stores operations to ensure efficient site support
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle including tendering, negotiation, execution and performance
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to operational and commercial objectives
- Drive cost control, budget management and value improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and company standards
- Partner with site leadership teams to identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities
- Monitor contractor performance and enforce contract governance frameworks
- Support logistics and offsite repairs processes to maintain critical stock availability
- Prepare and report on contract performance, supply metrics and operational outcomes
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership across the supply function
- Build and lead a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and accountability
- Coach, mentor and develop team capability and succession planning
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships across site departments
- 7+ years’ experience in a superintendent or senior supply/procurement role within the resources sector
- 10+ years’ experience in mining or heavy industry environments
- Proven experience managing tenders, contracts and contractor performance
- Strong SAP experience, particularly across Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management
- Degree in Business, Commerce or a related discipline preferred
You are a commercially astute leader with a strong background in mining supply chains. You bring a balance of technical expertise and people leadership, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive performance across a complex operational environment.
You are confident managing competing priorities, making decisions under pressure, and delivering outcomes that support both operational efficiency and commercial success.
