Storeperson

We are currently looking to expand our warehouse and distribution team. Our Christchurch plant which is based in Islington is looking for two people to join their warehousing team. Please note: You must be experienced in forklift operating to be successful in your application. This involves working out multiple configurations, weights and dimensions and takes excellent attention to detail. We currently have two shift patterns to choose from. Please note that the morning shift for this role will be working in freezer conditions also. This will be a long-term role right the right person and there is chance for progression. The following shift patterns are available:
- Monday to Friday 05:00AM – 01:30PM with some Saturday mornings
- Monday to Friday 01:00PM – 09:30PM (potentially later) – with alternating Sundays on a shift pattern of 06:00AM – 05:00PM
- Operating the Forklift to load racked linehaul units and trucks
- Operating multiple forklifts to move stock around the warehouse
- Picking and packing orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Stacking boxes ready for distribution
- You must have a valid Forklift license
- You must have Reach Truck experience with double deep
- At least 1 year experience operating a forklift truck doing linehaul
- Good communication and able to work in a multicultural team environment
- Thorough with good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Interested in learning new things
- Physically able (as there will be some lifting required)
- Keen attitude to learn and get involved
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
