Our client is looking for a Stainless Steel Fabricator to join their team based in Rolleston. This is a varied role and you will be undertaking many duties. You will work on a range of stainless steel fabrication projects within the business including onsite installs. Your duties will include reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and plans, fabricating stainless steel components, performing high quality finishing and polishing as well as on-site installs when required.
Some of the machinery is highly technical and therefore will need mechanically-minded people to join this team. Your duties will include maintaining all documentation and records accurately (both written and electronic). You will be a day to day contact for all maintenance issues and therefore must have excellent communication skills.
This role will be based in Rolleston and is a Monday to Friday day shift role. Please note this is a temporary to permanent position.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a stainless steel fabricator is essential
- Confidence with welding (especially TIG)
- Strong attention to details and ability to work to specifications
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems
- Physically able
