About the Role

  • Lead and support kaimahi working with wahine, tamariki, and whānau  
  • Ensure services align with contracts, values, and strategic goals  
  • Promote best practice and uphold ethical standards  
  • Centre the needs of tangata whaiora and whānau in all mahi  
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and team support  
  • Connect whānau with appropriate community services  
  • Understand the short- and long-term impacts of family violence  
  • Foster a safe, kaupapa Māori, trauma-informed team environment  
  • Deliver mahi professionally, ethically, and on time.
      
About You

Must have:
  • Social Work qualification or have strong experience in a related social services role  
  • Have experience leading a team  
  • Full, clean driver’s licence  
  • Strong knowledge of family violence and relevant laws   
  • Build effective relationships with people and agencies   
  • Be process driven and open to learning   
  • Calm, organised, and adaptable in changing situations   
  • Experienced with tangata whaiora and tamariki   
  • Work well independently and in a team  
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate records   
  • Clear, confident communicator   
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and organised
