Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
The Eva Copper Mine is a significant and strategically important project for Harmony marking a major milestone in the company’s copper growth strategy and its long-term commitment to Northwest Queensland. The mine will have a minimum life of 15 years and will involve mining multiple open cut pits providing copper bearing ore to a concentrator. Front-end engineering design is complete, and mine construction is expected to take up to 30 months with first production targeted for the second half of the 2028 calendar year.
About the role:
The Site Services Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that all supporting infrastructure and services are operational, maintained, and adapted to meet the evolving needs of the project.
Experience in the following areas would be ideal:
- Experience in "back-end" village life (Waste, Water Treatment, Fuel, Fleet, or Maintenance).
- Ability to coordinate village trades (HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical) and oversee site works.
- Experience managing high-volume FIFO logistics, charter flights, and coach services.
- Proven ability to hold third-party vendors (Catering/Cleaning) to strict KPIs and safety standards.
- Ability to identify hazards (DoneSafe) and physically drive corrective actions.
- High professional standards and a clean track record are mandatory.
Please note this is a maximum term role aligned with the project completion and close out, anticipated to be 31 May 2028. However, there is a possibility the role could become a permanent position once the mine is fully operational.
