My client based in Queenstown is on the hunt for an experienced Civil Site Manager to help continue the growth and success of their earthworks division. With a large workload in 2025, this role is perfect for you to utilize your established operating knowledge and civil experience to lead a team to success.
Your responsibilities will include the on-site construction of a wide range of diverse projects including residential/commercial subdivisions, roading and drainage. You'll also be managing a team, reporting to the Project Managers and operating from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of earthwork crews, sub-contractors and overall coordination of onsite works
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and comply with environmental regulations
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop work plans, optimize resources, and reduce costs
- Manage plant, labour, and materials
- Lead, mentor, and develop crews
- 4+ years experience in Civil Construction
- Relevant certifications in construction supervision
- Extensive machine operating experience and ability to be on the tools when as and when needed
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills in a construction environment
- Clean Class 1 license
- W,T,R endorsements and Class 2 & 4 licenses (Preferable)
- Right to live and work permanently in New Zealand (required)
- $120,000 plus company vehicle, phone and laptop
