Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and safety focused Shotfirer to join a high performing Drill & Blast team on a major open pit mining operation. This role plays a vital part in supporting production and operational efficiency, while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Engineers, Supervisors, and Blast Crews to ensure safe and effective blasting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently carry out all shotfiring and blasting activities
• Handle, transport, and use explosives in compliance with regulatory and site requirements
• Support production goals by working closely with drill and blast teams
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for each blast
• Identify and mitigate risks in daily operations, maintaining a strong safety-first mindset

• Current WA Shotfirer’s Licence
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
• Valid Class C manual driver’s licence
• Minimum 3 years experience in open pit blasting operations
• Ability to successfully pass medical assessments and drug & alcohol screening
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory
