They have just commenced a search for a SENIOR/LEAD ESTIMATOR to join their excellent pre-contracts team in Perth as they set their sights on securing new major projects in WA.
About the Role:
As permanent SENIOR/LEAD ESTIMATOR based in the Perth head office, you will join an existing pre-contracts team of 4 staff, and take ownership of preparing “first principle” estimates using EXPERT Estimation for large FRP concrete and civils scopes of work across multiple industry sectors. You will be a focal point for pricing winning tenders on FRP concrete projects up to $100m such as foundations, structures, columns, footings, pedestals, plinths etc. We are seeking a SENIOR or LEAD ESTIMATOR who has a flexible and adaptable “can do” attitude, someone who is seeking a role with real influence that is able to price and win large projects that will deliver good margins for the business. Estimating is a critical function within a construction business so an exceptional salary is on offer to recognize your value of CIRCA $260-300K Base + Super (*Flexible based on experience).
Duties:
- Undertaking tender reviews, clarifications and risk analysis at pre-tender stage
- Deriving “first principle” estimates for FRP concrete projects valued up to about $60-80M+ using EXPERT Estimation software
- Working closely with the Precontracts Manager to develop accurate tender pricing
- 8+ years’ as ESTIMATOR/SENIOR/LEAD ESTIMATOR for Civil Contractors in Australia
- Proven “first principle” estimating competence using EXPERT Estimation or similar software to price $50m+ FRP CONCRETE projects
- Strong attention to detail with excellent literacy and numeracy
- Effective all-round communication skills, ability to work autonomously, and high levels of motivation
- Existing rights to live and work in Australia, and if not already based in Perth, ability to move west within 4 weeks notice.
