As THEY scale our digital presence and evolve “Tisch Academy” into a next-generation online learning and community platform, we’re they are seeking a Senior Video Editor to join this creative team and here you can be part of something special.
The Role
Tisch Academy is looking for a Senior Video Editor with world-class storytelling instincts, technical mastery, and a mentor’s mindset. You’ll lead the post-production process for our rich catalogue of art and education content, from in-depth lesson videos to high-impact trailers, reels, and social media cuts.
This is an on-site role at their new creative studio in Wanaka, New Zealand. They work hard, move fast, and care deeply about the craft. You’ll join a small, passionate team creating meaningful, beautiful content at the intersection of art, education, and media.

What You’ll Do
• Edit, grade, mix, and finish across DaVinci Resolve Studio (Cut, Fusion, Colour, Fairlight, Deliver)
• Collaborate closely with our artists, presenters, and shooters to craft compelling narratives and define a consistent visual voice
• Review and guide junior editors, offering clear, constructive feedback that elevates both their work and the brand
• Design motion graphics titles, transitions, and lower thirds with an eye for handcrafted detail and cohesive design
• Troubleshoot technical issues on the fly (noise, wobbles, colour shifts) to keep projects moving smoothly
• Prepare multi-aspect deliverables (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) optimized for web, mobile, and OTT platforms
• Contribute on set, offering creative and practical advice to improve efficiency and final quality
What You Bring
• 5+ years of professional editing experience, with a showreel that showcases your narrative intuition and technical finesse
• Expert-level fluency in DaVinci Resolve Studio, including Fusion compositing and Fairlight audio workflows
• Strong motion graphics/VFX skills in Resolve Fusion or After Effects
• A deep understanding of colour workflows, LUTs, codecs, proxies, and Blackmagic RAW/ProRes pipelines
• A collaborative spirit with the ability to manage multiple projects while keeping standards sky-high
• A mentor’s mindset, you coach, you share, and you level others up
