This terrific Australian civil contracting company typically undertakes the construction of massive insitu concrete and civil infrastructure projects within the mining, energy, renewables, water and industrial sectors in Australia. To begin 2026, they have an immediate opportunity for an exceptional Senior Project Manager to take the helm on major concrete foundation and structures projects about to launch in Perth’s metro region in February.
About the Role:
The appointed permanent Senior Project Manager will be required to work 5.5 days a week Mon-Fri and half day on Saturday, but will allow you to be home every night rather than an onerous FIFO arrangement. You will be responsible for the key deliverables of safety, cost, time, and quality on major Perth FRP projects. You will also manage the client interface, and be accountable for building and leading a cohesive, high performance project team. Your immediate focus will be delivery of a large volume, high-value concrete foundation and structures project located south of the river in Perth. Success in this capacity will require exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and expert planning, forecasting and reporting ability. This role will suit a proven Project Manager with a strong civil contracting background, who has successfully delivered profitable $50m+ FRP concrete foundations and structures projects for civil contractors (*not EPCM or Client Side). A remuneration package designed to attract the industry’s top Senior Project Manager is on offer CIRCA $250-300K Base + Bens & Bonus & Vehicle (*Negotiable based on experience).
Experience, Qualifications and Other Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- 10+ years’ construction industry experience as Project Manager on FRP concrete construction projects up to $50M+ such as foundations, structures, slabs, columns, footings, plinths etc
- Experience preferred on industrial/civil/mining/commercial projects working for civil contractors rather than client side or EPCM organisations
- Strong communication skills and proven leadership ability to build and manage a team of construction professionals and the client interface successfully
- Commercially savvy with excellent forecasting and reporting ability
- Positive attitude and willingness to take full ownership of your projects
