This business is renowned nationally as a high quality civil contractor by their clients who operate in multiple sectors; mining, civil infrastructure, defence, renewables, and more. They are a leading civil contracting business that has several live remote projects in WA and are now in the market for a competent and experienced civil  SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER to join one of their major projects on FIFO 2/1 roster ex-Perth .

About The Role

As the successful SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER you will work F IFO 2/1 ex-Perth (*approximately 12 hour days) to a Pilbara WA project site which may be on either remote road construction (MRWA) or minesite earthworks/drainage projects, pending your previous experience and team needs. This is a permanent role on civil scopes of work that will challenge your technical skills, encourage you to display your leadership expertise, while rewarding you financially and enhancing your career. On site as SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER you will plan and oversee progress of the contract and provide technical guidance to the site delivery team. You will guide younger Site Engineers and PEs to address technical queries and ensure QA adherence, manage subcontractors, manage and track costs, and provide regular forecasting and progress reporting. It is preferred that you have worked on some of the following types of civil projects; minesite preparation earthworks, embankments, tailings dams, drainage, rail formation, haul & access roads, or major roadworks (MRWA). On offer will be a terrific salary package CIRCA $180-190K Base + 40% Uplift! This role requires a start in approximately November so 4 weeks notice is acceptable.

Skills, Experience and Other Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (minimum)
• Around 5-10 years post graduate experience as a PROJECT ENGINEER/ SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER for CIVIL CONTRACTORS in Australia
• Proven success performing the role of FIFO PROJECT ENGINEER or SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER on Bulk Earthworks/Civils/Roadworks scopes of work in remote locations in WA
• Project experience in WA on minesite bulk earthworks, tailings dams, drainage, rail formation, haul & access roads, embankments.
• Stable employment tenure as PE or SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER on $50M+ civil scopes of work for CIVIL CONTRACTORS in Australia ie. Completing projects to the end
• Excellent all-round communication and interpersonal skills
• Perth/WA based with existing work rights in Australia
• AVAILABLE to start within 4 weeks’ notice maximum
• Able to supply 2 favourable references from within the last 5 years
• Clean WA C Class Drivers Licence
