The Role Reporting into site leadership, you will lead and coordinate Mine Engineering, Geology and Survey teams to ensure delivery of accurate, timely and cost-effective mine plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Championing a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site Health & Safety Management Plans
- Direct supervision and mentoring of Team Leads across Engineering, Geology and Survey
- Ensuring mine engineering outputs deliver accurate plans, designs and schedules
- Maintaining and improving mine planning, geology and survey systems and procedures
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mine plan objectives
- Monitoring plan performance, production outcomes and cost KPIs
- Delivering Life of Mine plans and associated Reserve and Resource models in line with JORC and Group standards
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering
- A current WA Quarry Manager Certificate of Competency
- Extensive experience in mine planning, scheduling and design
- Hands-on proficiency with computerised 3D mine planning and geology systems
- Proven leadership experience within mine technical services
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Strong technical report writing and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of geological concepts, models and resource generation
- Completion of WHS statutory supervisor Risk Management units and compliance with WA statutory requirements
- Registration with AusIMM as a recognised Professional Engineer under the JORC Code
- A valid WA “C” class manual driver’s licence
- Senior leadership position with strong operational influence
