We are looking for a Senior Geologist to join us at our Boggabri mine, an open-cut coal operation producing up to 8.6 million tonnes per annum, and with a mine life extending through until 2036. Boggabri mine is located near Boggabri, Gunnedah and Narrabri, regional towns which offer community spirit and a unique and diverse country lifestyle.
Working in collaboration with technical services, operations and the CHPP the Senior Geologist provides support across geology, exploration, logistics and coal quality. This includes leading and mentoring a small team and providing guidance on coal forecasts, logistics coordination, coal reconciliation activities and coal quality. Overseeing ongoing exploration activities also forms part of the scope of the role.

You believe in fostering a positive, collaborative work culture - ensuring we always put our people first.
- Hold a diploma or tertiary level qualification in geology/engineering/process/science or a related discipline
- Have 5+ years within the coal chain logistics field, geology and exploration.
- Have experience dealing with multiple stakeholder inputs both internal and external
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience with stockpile and product management systems
- Are highly focused, motivated and self-directed.
- Have the ability to build and maintain strong and trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
