SALES TERRITORY MANAGER
 
 Responsible to: Regional Sales Manager 
 Responsible for: Auckland Region
 
 Sales: 
Achievement of specified sales budget of forklift,
sales, rental and service for the region. Learn maintain and grow
business in the Auckland region.
 The company: 
Promoting the company’s good name, reputation and product range at all times.
 Limits of authority: 
 Capital expenditure: 
May not commit the company to any single item of capital
expenditure without prior authority from the employer.
 Operating expenditure: 
All assigned vehicle operating, travel and entertainment
expenditure to be within the Company policy.
 Debtors: 
May not commit the company to settlement terms that
exceed our standard trading terms. All exceptions to the standard terms must have prior approval of the employer.
 Stock procurement: 
May not commit the company to the purchase of new or
used stock without consultation with the employer.
 Proposals to clients: 
May not submit any quote or proposal to a client which involves a discount off the normal retail price without first obtaining approval.
 Overall Objectives: 
- To establish and maintain CENTRAL GROUP as a dominant supplier within the forklift markets by securing a specified market share for new, used and rental forklifts, service and sales
- To promote and build client base for CENTRAL GROUP.
- To ensure that all customers are fully aware of the products available on offer.
- To be professional in every facet of operation.
- To learn and promote CENTRAL GROUP, via cold calls, phone enquiry and existing client base.
 SPECIFIC DUTIES: 
- To achieve sales targets and profit objectives
- To promote the effectiveness, efficiency, profitability and growth of products within the territory by creating satisfied customers within the policies laid down by the company.
- Be capable of making a presentation on each segment of the product range.
- Be able to maintain satisfactory customer history system and categorise existing and potential clients dependent upon potential. This is to include call records and notes of relevance to each call.
- Planning the territory in such a way that clients are visited on a pre-determined cycle.
- To regularly update the CRM to ensure all opportunities are being tracked and manged on a daily/weekly basis.
- Call on a minimum of 15 new prospects per week.
- Weekly one on one meeting with the regional sales manager to cover activities and plan the week ahead.
- Weekly stocktake of all equipment at the Hamilton branch
- Work with the workshop to ensure the fleet is ready to go for casual and long-term hires.
- Ensure that all company assets including allocated vehicles associated with the position are accounted for and maintained to the highest standard thereby ensuring maximum resale value.
- In association with other management and personnel assist in the organisation to suitable promotions and demonstrations.
- Maintaining records of competition in his/her territory.
- Follow the sales process and complete signed sales agreement for all sale and rental contracts.
- Completion of all paperwork and forms associated with each sale including details of any trade-ins accepted.
