The Role:
The Roofing Operations Manager role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, safety, and team coordination. You’ll oversee scheduling, resource planning, and site compliance, while supporting staff development and maintaining strong client communication. You’ll also contribute to estimating, reporting, and ensuring tools and equipment are ready to go.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations and crew scheduling across multiple roofing projects
- Prepare SSSPs and SWMS to uphold safety and compliance
- Support staff training and professional development
- Estimate small projects and manage financial checkpoints
- Communicate clearly with clients on timeframes and delivery
- Oversee plant, tools, and gear availability and maintenance
- Provide technical support and assist with delivery when needed
- Experience in an Operations Manager, Roofing Manager or similar leadership role
- NZ Certificate in Roofing (Level 4)
- Experience in Long run / Long line roofing
- LBP Qualification
- Knowledge of NZ Building Code and roofing codes of practice
- Ability to read and interpret building plans
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Clean NZ Driver’s License
- Proactive, professional attitude
