In this role you'll be working closely with the Quarry General Manager to run daily operations, machinery, staff and administration. With a mix of 70/30 on the tools and in the office, the right candidate will be able to demonstrate their abilities on Excavators and Loaders along with maintaining their equipment to a high standard.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in quarrying or a similar industry
- Familiarity with crushing and/or screening plants
- Knowledge of health & safety, risk management systems, and quarry product specifications
- A strong leader who can motivate a small team to work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively
- Commitment to maintaining a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with procedures
- A proactive approach to improving production processes and material quality
- Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead by example, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience managing labour hours and controlling costs
- Current W, T, R licences
- A Grade Quarry Manager Certificate (or working towards it)
