The Company:
Stellar Recruitment is proud to once again partner with a leading mining and resources asset owner as they move into execution phase of a new greenfield mine
in Regional Queensland.
This large-scale project will run from paddock to processing and include development of pits, processing facilities, tailings storage, non-processing infrastructure, utility networks, power generation, and camp/village construction.
With this project now ramping up, they have an immediate need for x2 Quantity Surveyors
to join their team through construction. This will suit a tried and tested QS or someone who wants to transition who from hard-dollar contracting to a client-side role
.
The Role:
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager
, you will be responsible for managing project costs from design through to completion. This role offers significant autonomy and oversight across all cost-related aspects of construction, including:
- Cost estimation and control
- Value for money assessments
- Cost analysis and reporting
- Preparation of tender documents
- Driving project efficiency
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years post-graduate experience in a similar role
- Previous mining & resources project experience (highly desirable)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute and results-driven
