Stellar Recruitment is partnering with a major mining & resources asset owner headquartered in Brisbane. As the business moves into the execution phase of a significant new mine development in Regional Queensland, they are expanding their project team.
This flagship project includes pit development, processing facilities, tailings storage, non-processing infrastructure, utilities, power generation and camp/village construction which offers varied and complex work for an experienced QS.
With site works ramping up, they’re seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the client-side delivery team through construction. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to transition away from hard-dollar contracting and into a strategic, long-term project environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance and cost certainty across the project. You’ll manage costs from late design through to final completion, with responsibilities including:
- Cost estimation, forecasting & control
- Value-for-money and cost assurance assessments
- Cost analysis, dashboards & reporting
- Support in procurement & tender documentation
- Identifying efficiencies and supporting project decision-making
Skills & Experience
We’d love to hear from you if you offer:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, or similar
- 5+ years post-graduate experience
- Exposure to mining, heavy industrial or resources projects (highly regarded)
- Commercially astute mindset with strong analytical capability
- Ability to influence stakeholders and deliver outcomes
- Commitment to safety and project excellence
