Position Overview:
Our client, a reputable company in the drainage and earthworks industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in earthworks and a keen eye for detail. This role offers the potential to transition to a full-time position with additional responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed cost estimates and preparing tender documents
- Managing project budgets and ensuring cost control
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Conducting site visits and assessments
- Preparing progress reports and final accounts
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically in earthworks
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, QS software)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
