About the Project
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager
to lead the delivery of major airfield upgrade works including runway, taxiways, apron, lighting and drainage plus a runway extension and associated supporting works.
About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll oversee subcontractor management from tender through to commissioning and handover, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You’ll thrive on complexity, excel at interface and stakeholder management, and take pride in leading teams to deliver exceptional results in remote environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage delivery of multi-disciplinary airfield works from start to finish
- Oversee subcontractor performance, program, safety, quality, and commercial outcomes
- Develop and implement staging plans and Method of Work Plans (MOWP)
- Foster a strong safety culture and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
- Lead and mentor team members to drive accountability and high performance
- Proven experience managing major civil or airfield infrastructure projects for Civil Contractors in Australia
- Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management capability
- Proven experience confidently leading multidisciplinary teams in remote or Australian Defence Force (ADF) projects for contractors
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, construction management, or related discipline
