Project Engineer (Project Manager) – Tauranga | Up to $150k + Vehicle
Are you an experienced Project Engineer ready to take the lead on high-impact civil infrastructure projects in the Bay of Plenty? We’re working with a well-established civil contractor in Tauranga that specialises exclusively in 3 Waters infrastructure. They’re looking for a capable and driven Project Engineer (Project Manager equivalent) to join their team and deliver projects valued up to $5 million.
About the Role:
As the Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, overseeing a team of up to 20 site and project staff. You’ll manage all aspects of project performance including:
- Full project lifecycle management from planning to delivery
- Monthly claims and variations (up to $300k/month)
- Programme updates and reporting
- Client liaison and stakeholder management
- Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Proven experience managing civil infrastructure projects, ideally in the 3 Waters space
- Strong background in drainage and underground services
- Local knowledge of the Tauranga/Bay of Plenty region is highly desirable
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and commercial acumen
- Salary up to $150,000 + vehicle
