The Role
The Project Manager will oversee civil projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This position involves managing resources, mentoring a skilled team, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Managing civil projects up to $10 million in value
- Leading and mentoring a skilled team
- Planning and scheduling projects to meet deadlines and budgets
- Ensuring health and safety compliance at all times
- Overseeing contractual, financial, and quality assurance requirements
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Producing accurate project reports and updates

- 5+ years experience as a Project Manager in civil construction
- Strong knowledge of NZS3910 and NZS3916
- Knowledge of various Civil Disciplines, Earthworks, Three Waters, Roading etc
- Expertise in cost control, financial reporting, and pricing variations.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Ability to price packages of work including variations.
- Cost control and financial reporting
- Strong operational and organisational skills
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence team members positively
- High focus on and good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor, support and grow other team members whilst contributing to a high-performance team delivering projects
