Lead critical capital projects at a major copper smelter operation, delivering works from concept through to commissioning and handover. This hands-on role spans multidisciplinary brownfield projects, including site access, materials handling, storage, sampling systems and plant upgrades.
About You:
- 10+ years’ project management or engineering experience in mining, processing, smelting, or heavy industry.
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Proven delivery of multidisciplinary projects from concept to operational handover.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget, managing scope, schedule, risk, and contractors.
- Coordinate design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities across multiple sites.
- Engage with stakeholders, regulators, and operations to ensure alignment and practical outcomes.
- Build and lead project teams, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
- Brisbane or Mount Isa based, ad hoc site travel covered.
- Salary $170k–$185k + 13% super, relocation package and 12 weeks company housing for Mount Isa-based staff.
- 2-year fixed-term direct employment, eligible for discretionary bonus.
