About the Company

This company is a prominent national civil contracting business with strong expertise and experience in the construction of minesite civils, road infrastructure, defence, industrial and renewable energy projects. Their management team is excellent and they have several new projects starting that will be delivered in regional Western Australia, so they now have an IMMEDIATE requirement for a top-class civil PROJECT ENGINEER to join their WA team.

About the Role

This role will require you to work on a FIFO 2/1 roster ex-Perth on permanent basis, to support the delivery of remote minesite earthworks or major road construction projects under MRWA specifications. It is essential that you have previously worked on these types of remote projects for prominent civil contractors in WA. As civil PROJECT ENGINEER you will work normal site hours (12 hour days), to monitor deliverables, undertake planning, scheduling, forecasting, manage logistics, contracts & cost management, and subcontractor management. We are seeking a PROJECT ENGINEER who is a great team player with well-rounded skills in project planning and execution, and who has proven ability to prepare cost reports and perform forecasting (“cost to complete”), and manage the client interface.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (*Minimum)
• Stable 4+ years’ of civil construction experience as Site/ PROJECT ENGINEER for Civil Contractors in Australia
• Proven success on projects including; Roads/Minesite earthworks (ie. Plant site earthworks, pads, TSFs, access roads, embankments, rail formation or similar
• Willingness to undertake FIFO 2/1 roster ex-Perth
• Excellent all-round communication skills to work well within teams and to liaise with client stakeholders and subcontractors
• Currently based in WA/Perth with existing full working rights for Australia
• Available within 4 weeks’ notice maximum
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing
• Clean C Class WA Drivers Licence
