This terrific WA civil contracting business is highly successful and has an impressive reputation for delivering heavy concrete projects from foundations through to technical insitu structural scopes of work such as bridges, minesite structures and turbine bases for renewable projects. They have strong financial backing and are very busy at present with several projects to deliver over the coming years so are now seeking a confident PROJECT ENGINEER to join their WA team for remote project work.
About the Role:
This permanent position as PROJECT ENGINEER will initially be working on a medium-sized insitu concrete project that will run for at least the next 6-12 months in either defence or resources sector depending on your availability timeline. Future projects will be in these same sectors where you will need the ability to undertake 2/1 FIFO roster ex-Perth. This company intends to develop your potential and provide a career path to becoming their next successful Project Manager. The key purpose of the PROJECT ENGINEER will be to facilitate the smooth running of the project by providing support and technical expertise to the site management team, during the delivery of insitu FRP foundations and structures. This role will involve programming & scheduling, coordinating procurement of equipment, machinery & materials, monitoring and reporting on progress, contracts administration & cost management, and HSEQ oversight. If you possess proven experience as a PROJECT ENGINEER on similar reinforced concrete scopes of work on minesite/industrial/civil/structural concrete projects for Civil Contractors, you can expect an attractive remuneration package of CIRCA $130K Base + 30% uplift, Hilux Vehicle, Fuel card, Phone and Laptop.
Skills, Experience and Other Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (*or similar)
- Approximately 4+ years’ SITE/ PROJECT ENGINEER experience with Civil Contractors in Australia
- Proven background performing successfully as a PROJECT ENGINEER on large insitu Reinforced Concrete/FRP projects for civil contractors in Australia
- Proven past project experience on insitu FRP concrete foundations, industrial buildings, minesite crusher structures, reclaim tunnels, wind turbine bases, bridge abutments, or similar.
- Positive attitude with good self-confidence and willingness to undertake FIFO 2/1 roster ex-Perth
- Excellent all-round communication and leadership skills
- Existing rights to live and work in Australia, and currently Perth based
- Current WA C Class Drivers License
