Sherratt Ingredients is an established, privately owned, food ingredient company that both imports
and manufactures food ingredients to be sold to New Zealand food manufacturers. Sherratt
Ingredients operates offices in Auckland and Christchurch. Sherratt Ingredients also has
manufacturing and research and development facilities in Auckland and warehouses throughout the
country.
The role is based at the Hobsonville site in Auckland and reports to the Production Manager.
Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is to work within the production team and perform tasks as directed to meet the manufacturing requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertake duties in a safe manner and report all health and safety issues promptly.
- Assist in all aspects of preparation, blending and packing of formulations as required.
- Cleaning and basic maintenance of plant equipment as trained.
- Preparation and packing of orders.
- Other duties as directed from time to time.
- Adhere to safety and quality policies at all times.
- To liaise and collaborate with other teams as required.
Performance measures:
- Accuracy and timeliness of measurement and weighing of ingredients, of blending/manufacturing and cleaning of equipment.
- Accuracy and timeliness of completing assigned tasks.
Health & Safety, & Food Safety
Responsibilities:
- Complying with the requirements of the Health & Safety Employment Act 1992, the Health
and Safety at Work Act 2015, and any Company policies regarding health & safety.
- Comply with legislation and the Company policy and procedures around food safety.
- Proactively ensure a safe working environment, identifying and reporting any Health and
Safety or Food Safety issues that arise.
Performance measures:
- Report any health & safety or food safety incidents, including near misses, accurately and
honestly.
