Payroll Officer- Multiple Opportunities 

About the Company

Stellar Recruitment is currently partnering with a number of organisations across Brisbane who are seeking experienced Payroll professionals to join their teams.

We regularly work with businesses across industries including construction, engineering, professional services, mining services and corporate environments.

Opportunities may be available on a contract, temporary or permanent basis , with some roles offering immediate start dates.
We are looking to connect with Payroll Officers and Payroll Administrators who are interested in hearing about upcoming opportunities within the Brisbane market.
  
About the Role

As a Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
Depending on the organisation, you may be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes or supporting a broader payroll team.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Processing weekly, fortnightly or monthly payroll for employees
  • Managing payroll queries and providing support to employees and managers
  • Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data accuracy
  • Assisting with payroll reporting and reconciliations
  • Processing new starters, terminations and employee changes
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation and company policies
  • Supporting month-end and year-end payroll processes
  • Assisting with payroll system updates and improvements
  • Providing general payroll administration support as require
  
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience working in a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator or similar role
  • Understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation
  • Experience working with payroll systems such as SAP, Chris21, Micropay or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred
