Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise their transport operations in Auckland. This is a pivotal role focused on managing assets, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence across a busy transport network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day transport operations, including fleet and driver management.
- Ensure vehicle compliance and maintenance schedules are adhered to.
- Monitor driver performance, including kilometres, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Manage asset utilisation to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
- Implement and maintain operational processes that meet regulatory and company standards.
- Lead and develop a team of drivers and support staff to achieve service and performance targets.
- Proven experience in transport or operations management within a high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of fleet management, compliance, and road transport regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data and drive improvements.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
