MPU Operator
 
Stellar Recruitment, in partnership with Enaex Australia , is offering a standout opportunity for skilled individuals to join their team as Mining MPU Operators at the Gunnedah Open Cut Mine site .
Whether you are an experienced  MPU Operator or bring a solid background from roles such as Shotfirer , B last Crew Member , or as an operator of excavators, dozers, or graders , we’re looking for professionals who are ready to leverage their experience and thrive in a high-performing environment.
 
What You Will Be Doing

• Operating MPUs Safely and Efficiently : Safely operate Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) to manufacture and deliver bulk explosives directly into blast holes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
• Conducting Pre-Start Checks : Perform thorough pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on MPU vehicles and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Quality Control and Documentation : Accurately mix and deliver explosives, maintaining precise records of operations and reporting any irregularities to supervisors.
• Collaborating with Blasting Teams : Work closely with shotfirers and other team members to load blast holes with precision, adhering strictly to safety and design standards.

• Previous MPU operation or blast crew experience
• Operation of mining equipment (e.g. excavators, dozers, graders, dump trucks, water carts)
• Civil, farming, or transport experience using heavy machinery or HR/MC trucks
• Trade-qualified individuals looking to transition into mining
• Strong safety focus, teamwork, and a willingness to learn
• Lives in the Gunnedah region or is open to relocating and commuting to site on a DIDO basis.

• Ability to obtain or currently hold a valid NSW Security Clearance
• Possession of an open class manual driver’s licence (HR licence desirable but not essential)
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a valid Order 43 Medical
• Relevant industry qualifications — RII competencies highly regarded
• National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
